Chairman Kemp called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. It was noted that LB898 dealing with Open Meeting Laws was duly posted. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

Motion by Crosley and seconded by Klug to approve the minutes from the regular meeting held on November 11, 2014. RCV: Stark-aye, Klug-aye, Holz-aye, Crosley-aye, Sage-aye, Kemp-aye. Motion approved.

Motion by Holz and seconded by Stark to approve the bills as presented. RCV: Klug-aye, Holz-aye, Crosley-aye, Kemp-aye, Sage-aye, Stark-aye.   Motion carried.

The financial report was presented and the General Reserve Century Savings account was explained.  Motion by Kemp and seconded by Crosley to approve the financial report. RCV: Holz-aye, Crosley-aye, Sage-aye, Kemp-aye, Stark-aye, Klug-aye. Motion carried.

Motion by Stark and seconded by Crosley to approve the Certificated Teacher Negotiations and Master Contract changes for the 2015-2016 Contract Year as presented, a $550 dollar increase in base salary and keep current health insurance. RCV: Crosley-aye, Sage-aye, Kemp-aye, Stark-aye, Klug-aye, Holz-aye. Motion carried.

Kandi Eisenhauer gave her teaching report and Mary Snowdon provided the Board with a written report.

Administrative Reports:

Principal Guenther explained to the board second semester was going to be over on December 19th and was the start of Christmas break. She told them that December 18 and 19th there would be a 2 p.m. dismissal due to testing. She reminded them that the K-12 Christmas Concert was Dec. 15th at 7p.m. and the Scholastic Book Fair was in progress.

Superintendent Margaret Sandoz reminded the board to sign up for the Christmas Party being held December 19th.  She told the board of a recent visit by Loretta Taylor and about the progress with instruction in the elementary. She gave them construction updates.

The Niobrara Public School Board gave Mrs. Sandoz a directive to increase the rent amount on the school’s house to $500 a month with rental rights being given to a school employee starting June1, 2015.

At 7:42 p.m. Kemp made a motion to go into executive session with a second by Holz to do a superintendent evaluation and review contract. RCV: Sage-aye, Kemp-aye, Stark-aye, Klug-aye, Holz-aye, Crosley-aye.

Motion by Klug and second by Stark to come out of executive session at 8:05 and adjourned at this time.

The next meeting is scheduled for January 12, 2015 at 7 p.m.
