Bio Information

Welcome! My name is Valerie Mullanix. I am excited that you came to our school's webpage. I attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I will be receiving my Master's Degree in Educational Administration in December 2019, also from UNL. I have taught second, and third grade in Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD in Dallas, TX, Lincoln Public Schools, and Santee Community School. For the past five years I have taught Kindergarten for Niobrara Public Schools. This year I am the K-5 Instructional Coach. I will help bring evidence-based best teaching practices into all classrooms by working with teachers and students. I truly believe all children are unique and must have a positive school environment where they can grow and succeed. I am also currently involved in our district's MTSS Team. I am also an active Direct Instruction and DIBELS trainer and consultant with The National Institute for Direct Instruction. My husband, Nick, and I are both originally from Benkelman, but have lived in this area for 9 years. Nick is a Chiropractor at Knox County Chiropractic. We have a five-year old daughter, Tatum who is in Kindergarten here at Niobrara. We love spending time together as a family and traveling.
