National Honor Society Field Trip

The National Honor Society went on their annual field trip last Thursday (4/13/17). The students started their day off by traveling to Sioux Falls. First on their agenda was the Washington Pavilion, a museum for the arts, entertainment, and science which offers endless possibilities for fun and learning. At the museum, the students got the chance to watch a science movie about predators. The theater is in a dome, which made the movie appear very large. The students said they felt like they were IN the movie. After the museum, the students chose to eat Popeyes Chicken. With full tummies, the students then went to Escape 605. Escape 605 offers three escape rooms. The students were divided into 2 groups. Nate, Dakota, Bryce, Brooke, and Abby were in one room. While Shania, Genesis, Ashley, Abigail, Jeanene, and Brooklyn were in another room. The students had 60 minutes to use their knowledge and problem-solving skills to figure out codes to escape the rooms. Both teams successfully escaped their rooms in the amount of time given. After this, the students went to Skyzone. Skyzone is a big building which is fully of trampolines. The students jumped and jumped until they were tired. Skyzone also offered dodge ball, dunking a basketball, and a big foam ball pit. The students really enjoyed themselves and it was all around a great time. Many memories were made that day. They ended their sweet time in Sioux Falls and traveled back to Yankton to eat supper at Mongolian Grill.

The National Honor Society students want to give a HUGE thank you to Mrs. Heiser and Mrs. Sandoz for giving them a day full of fun and laughter.
