The Niobrara Public High School will be performing the “The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza” by Don Zolidis

The Niobrara Public High School will be performing the production “The Greek Mythology Olympiaganza” by Don Zolidis.  This play is sure to make you laugh and the cast has had a lot of fun working together.  The students have been rehearsing with great dedication since August. 

            The play encompasses a humorous interpretation of Greek mythology, including Chronos’s attempt to remain ruler of the Titans, Zeus’s contempt for man through Pandora, the adventures of Jason and the Argonauts, and a comical interpretation of the Illiad.

            Actors and actresses include the following: (Seniors) McKayla Eisenhauer, Cathryn Hanzlik, and Shana LaPointe, (Juniors) Trenton Guenther, Liam Key, and Steven LaPointe, (Sophomores) Danni Beaudette, Jacob Booth, Brittany Eisenhauer, Tanner Hrbek, Cade Kalkowski, Larissa McCardle, Hannah Stark, (Freshmen) Ashley Guenther, Ember Key, Isaac Justo, Masi LaPointe, and Nate Sandoz.  Also involved in this production are stage crew and assistant directors Whitney Hoffman, Shane Hrbek, Taylor Redwing, Channah Schager, and Robyn Tuttle.

            If you need a laugh and want a truly enjoyable experience, please make arrangements to support the Niobrara drama students. The home performance is set for Friday, November 22, 2013 at 7:00.  Tickets will be available from the cast and crew.  Other dates include the following:

  • Tuesday, November 19,  NVC at Clearwater, 9:00 am
  • Tuesday, November 26, Creighton Play Festival, 3:00 pm
  • Monday, December 2, D2 District Play Contest at Chambers, time TBA
  • Wednesday, December 11 State Play Contest at Norfolk, 8:30 am
