Third-grade students engage in an interactive game called Roll and Multiply to practice multiplication facts in a fun and engaging way while building fact fluency.

Senior Parents: students have started the FAFSA at school. Do you need assistance completing your part, or have questions? Come to the school on Wednesday, October 21st between 4:00-6:00 for information and help from Mrs. Blomstedt! Can't make it at that time? Reach out to Mrs. Blomstedt so she can schedule a time that works for you.
2nd grade had a lot of excitement in the past couple days! Some homecoming fun at the carnival last Friday and yesterday we had our AR 1st quarter party for all the students who made their AR goal! They had a fun time doing iron bead art for the party! So proud of them and all the reading they did this quarter keep it up!
Elementary students had some fun learning about fire safety at the Niobrara Fire Hall. Thank you to all our fire fighters who took time out of their day to educate our students about their job and the importance of fire safety - they had a blast!
Just a reminder of the Standard Response Protocol that we use at NPS. When certain things happen in the school, for the safety of the staff and students, we will call different alerts that are followed by protocols to keep everyone safe. In all instances, we ask that parents DO NOT come and pick up children until they are directed to as this could potentially place students and staff at a higher safety risk. Safety of our staff and students will always be our number one priority at NPS. Please review the following so that as parents and community members you are aware of the Standard Response Protocol.
The Cougar Cross Country had yet another amazing meet today at districts in Neligh. All runners ran amazing and we even came away with a district champion - Delani Runnels! She is a four year district champion...not many can say that! Congratulations to all! We are state bound!
Niobrara students were lucky enough to hear Nick Moore, a former Globetrotter and motivational speaker today. He spoke about the importance of respect and students and staff even got to learn some tricks, dances, and were able to show off their basketball skills!

Today in the library the Kindergarten class "fed" the book drop monster, played Freeze Dance to Monster Mash, and colored a Halloween tablecloth. Boo!
Toys For Tots Applications will be distributed to our elementary students this week. Please make sure they are filled out and returned no later than 10/30.
