National Honor Society Educational Outing

National Honor Society Experience an Educational Outing

The Niobrara Chapter of the National Honor Society traveled to Omaha April 22 and 23 for an Educational Outing.  They spent the night at the Hyatt Place in the Old Market.

On Sunday evening they went to “The House of Conundrum” where they tried to escape from a room.  Half of the group entered the “Bat Cave”, and the other half tried to “Save Lincoln.”  The group in the Bat Cave solved all the puzzles and were able to escape with over 6 minutes left.  The other group escaped with only 19 seconds to spare.

They enjoyed an evening meal at Spaghetti Works in the Old Market.  They finished off the evening swimming in the hotel pool.

On Monday they visited the Henry Doorly Zoo.  The weather was perfect; sunny skies, temperature in the 60’s and no wind.  They were able to experience the Desert Dome, the African Grasslands, and the Lied Jungle.  Some of them even touched a star fish in the Aquarium.

Taking part in the trip were seniors Bryce Stark, Dakota Crosley, Jeanene Henry, and Genesis Saul; Juniors Brooke and Abby Swanson; and Sophomores Camden Eisenhauer, Tala Henry, and Adam DeKay.  Unable to attend was Junior Abbigail Holz.  Their advisor, Tami Heiser, accompanied them on their outing.
