First Grade Explores the World of Plants

In Science we are learning about the function of each plant part. We planted radish seeds in baggies and also planted radish seeds in cups. We are going to watch the roots grow in the baggies. When the radishes in the cups grow we are going to watch how leaves move toward the sun. Should be fun and engaging. We also put celery in a jar of blue food coloring and observed the changes throughout the day. We used magnifying glasses to make closer observations. Wow, cool!!!
