Varsity Football vs. Boyd County Friday, September 29

The Niobrara-Verdigre Cougar football team traveled to Spencer to play the Boyd County Spartans last Friday evening, Sept. 29th and lost the game by a score of 8-54.
The offense again struggled to sustain a drive down the field. Meanwhile the Cougar defense had difficulty keeping the Boyd County rushing attack at bay. In the 4th quarter, the young Cougars were able to put a score on the board with a 12 yard TD pass from Kash Nielsen to Wade Pritchett (Arlan Lammers PAT run).
The game ended with a final score of… N-V 8 Boyd County 54.
It has been a long three weeks for the Cougar football team with three straight losses. Our job does not get any easier as a very solid Elgin Public/Pope John team comes to Verdigre this Friday afternoon to take on the Cougars. The game is this Friday, Oct. 6th at 2:30 pm. GO COUGARS!
