NPS Continuity of Learning Plan

How do you plan to serve students?

Niobrara Public Schools is serving students and continuing learning through enrichment work. As we continue to navigate learning and move forward, staff are identifying essential learning outcomes and standards for each content area. Google classrooms, videos, zoom learning sessions, and printed packet practice will continue to be the avenue for which we provide learning opportunities and interactions for all students.

Communication and collaboration through zoom meetings, emails, and phone calls is happening on an ongoing basis between all staff members to ensure that Niobrara Public Schools is remaining strong and has the same vision for educating our students.  Ongoing communication is also happening daily between school and home to ensure all family needs are being met. The school is providing help and support for students and families to ensure they have the necessary learning resources (pencils, crayons, paper, internet, electronic devices, technology tutorials, textbooks, etc.) to progress in their learning. We are also continuing to offer delivery meal services, mental health services, and update school information via our messaging system, Facebook and our school webpage.  Niobrara Public School's Daily Digest

How do you plan to serve students with disabilities?

All parents/guardians of students who receive services were given Niobrara Public School's Prior Written Notice when school was canceled until further notice at Niobrara Public Schools. Teachers also reached out to parents/guardians and students via email, text, phone call, and/or individual letters home. They were made aware that teachers would be available through email, phone, or zoom to assist in anyway. We are consistently checking in on families to ensure all family needs are being met.

As student Continuity of Learning work is posted and/or sent home, ongoing communication is occurring between special education teachers and classroom teachers regarding individual student IEP skills and goals. Work is being modified and accommodated to target specific student skill levels.
