MINUTES OF REGULAR BOARD MEETING

December 13, 2021

Chairman Moody called the regular meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. It was noted that LB898 dealing with Open Meeting Laws was duly posted. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited by all present.

 

Motion by Adema and Seconded by Teadtke to approve the agenda. RCV: Adema-aye, Bolling-aye, Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-aye, Moody-aye. Motion Approved. Klug-absent.

 

Motion by Bolling and seconded by Paulsen to approve the minutes from the regular meeting held on November 8, 2021. RCV: Bolling-aye, Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-aye, Moody-aye, Adema-aye. Motion Approved.  Klug-absent.

 

Motion by Bolling and seconded by Teadtke to approve the bills as presented: RCV: Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-aye, Moody-aye, Adema-aye, Bolling-aye. Motion Approved.  Klug-absent.

 

The financial report was presented.  Motion by Adema and seconded by Teadtke to approve the financial report. RCV: Paulsen-aye, Moody-aye Adema-aye, Bolling-aye, Teadtke-aye. Motion Approved. Klug-absent.

 

The following negotiation items were presented.

  • 2022-23 school year:  $500 on base, keep insurance benefits the same, add one step to each column on the salary schedule

 

  • 2023-24 school year:  $500 on the base, keep insurance benefits the same, add one step to each column on the salary schedule

 

  • Change wording in Article VII A of contract to read as follows:

Nine days of sick leave will be allowed per year without loss of pay.  Non-used days shall be accumulative to maximum of sixty days and the Board reserves the right to require a Doctor’s certificate.  Additional sick days accumulated above the maximum of sixty shall be paid at the end of the contract year at $150 per day.

 

  • Delete 7th grade and 8th grade sponsors from the Extra Duty list.
     
  • Change wording on Appendix B of Salary Schedule as follows: 

If no assistant Coach/Sponsor or aide is assigned in an NSAA sanctioned activity, the head coach/sponsor will receive an additional 2% of base pay.
 

  • Addition to Master Contract:  Teachers who teach dual credit courses through any college or university shall receive all of the monies sent to the school as payment for said courses.   

 

  • Delete N-Club from Extra Duty list.  Organizing Parents’ Night will be added to the job descriptions of coaches and sponsors.

     
  • Delete FBLA sponsorship from Extra Duty list. 

  • Add Assistant Skills USA sponsor to Extra Duty List at 1% of base for this position.

 

 

Motion by Adema and seconded by Teadtke to accept and approve teacher negotiations as presented for the 2022-2023 and 2023-2024 school years. RCV: Adema-aye, Bolling-aye, Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-aye, Moody-aye. Motion Approved. Klug-absent.

 

Motion by Teadtke and seconded Bolling to authorize Margaret Sandoz as the authorized state and federal program director. RCV: Bolling-aye, Teadtke-aye, Paulsen-aye, Moody-aye, Adema-aye. Motion Approved.  Klug-absent.

 

It was the consensus of the board to allow input, from all stakeholders, regarding the ESSERS III application from 12/13/21 and close comments on 1/10/2021.

 

Jenny Motacek gave the teacher report.

 

Administrator reports were given.

 

The next meeting is scheduled for January 10, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was adjourned at 6:42 p.m.
